Activities
The Royal Historical Society of
Queensland is well-known for its Welsby Library, Museum, conferences,
lectures and special occasions such as Queensland Day 6 June and
Proclamation Day 10 December.
We also hold conferences, social functions and special lectures from time to time,
and these activities are advertised in the Bulletin and on the RHSQ's
What's on?
web page.
Please note as repairs are ongoing from the 2011 floods there is NO limited free parking behind the Commissariat Store and no entry from Queens Wharf Road.
The Welsby Library is available to researchers, with Hon. Researchers available to help on Thursdays 10.00 am to 4.00 pm.

Lunchtime talk - Union Jack

Dale Jacobsen's talk titled Union Jack is a dramatic political featuring a cast of rogues, opportunists and idealists set against the background of corruption, strikes and union bashing in Queensland during the 1920s. It shows the conflict between the ALP and the Australian Railways Union.
Dale Jacobsen is a free lance journalist and has been a researcher and writer for Queensland Parks and Wildlife Service and the editor of The Queensland Journal of Labour History, the half-yearly journal of the Brisbane Labour History Association of which she is a life member.
RHSQ@home - Maryborough and the Burnett District
