Volunteers

RHSQ welcomes volunteers to act as museum guides, to help with office duties and with other tasks relating to publishing and running a museum and library.

If you have spare time and a skill that would be useful then please contact the Manager on (07) 3221 4198 Tuesday to Friday 10.00 am to 4.00 pm.

The RHSQ Council says a big thank you for the hours that volunteers happily give week after week to the Society. Volunteer museum guides, receptionists and Hon Researchers enable the Society to open the Museum from Tuesday to Friday, assist the public with historical research questions and manage office administration. Thanks are also due to the Hon Editors, Exhibition Curators, Membership Secretary and web flyer designer and all the others who assist the Society to run so smoothly.  Check out the Presidents and committee web page to learn the names of just a few who assist the RHSQ.

Volunteers organise one or more activities each year, such as a gathering in September 2010 to visit Old Government House and there is a volunteers Christmas function. Last year a volunteer organised an outing to Gallipoli Barracks and pub lunch.
